Rainbow Challenge Day 2 - Orange

Oh damn...I only have 1 orange in my entire collection and I posted it not so long ago. What now? Oh well, I'll just try to make it look different, somehow...

So I did! This is Leticia Well #493 (review here) with Hits Hefesto on top of it.

Sorry I couldn't take more photos of it, but my camera decided to die on me... -.-'

This is reeeeeaaaally bright! Can you imagine how a bright holographic neon looks in the sun? I think every one looked at my nails today, they just wouldn't go unnoticed. I don't really like that kind of attention, but I'm sure I'll be rocking this mani again! Maybe when I'll go to the beach. ^^

Once again, here's the list of all the girls taking part of this challenge:

Rainbow Favourites Day 1 - Red

Bec, from Lacquer Dreams, came up with this challenge, and you can read more about it here.

So today is red. I had a tough time choosing my favourite in this colour. I have lots of reds, and even though I don't wear them much right now, they're still one of my favourite colours. Trying to makes things easier, I came up with a top 3 favourites and I couldn't pick just one. :S My favourite reds are Kleancolor Chunky Holo Scarlet, Hits Ares and Nubar Vino. Nonetheless, the star of this post will be the Kleancolor red.

So here it is, in all it's mighty splendor:

I used 3 coats of it, just to be sure, because it was late at night and since it is a jelly I didn't want to take any chances, but I think 2 coats were enough. I really love all the sparkles, but unfortunatelly, the multichrome effect I see on the bottle doesn't show up on the nail.

I couldn't end this post without showing a photo of Ares and Vino, but please excuse the bad photo of Vino, this was way before I started to blog and I sucked at photographing nail polish. xD

Hits Overload!

Today I have another holographic nail polish to show you. The weather here has been quite nice lately and, since I love holographic polishes, this means you'll be seeing a lot of it from now on! But who doesn't love a good holographic nail polish? And I still have so many to try...

Hera is a beautiful teal nail polish from the Hits no Olimpo collection. It has a really nice formula, it's really easy to apply and it only took 2 coats to look this perfect.

On my accent nail I have Docinho and stamped over it with Powerful (both from the Powerpuff Girls collection, also by Hits), using the plate m57 by Konad. On top of this all I applied Hefesto, the holographic top coat by Hits. My stamping didn't turn out so bad this time, I think I'm improving!

Here are some photos, you won't get to see much holography on the first ones, the sun was playing tricks on me and went away before I could take these, but I included one under artificial light and under the sun, from the next day.

Left to right: Hera, Hefesto, Powerful, Docinho

Under artificial light

Under direct sunlight

I was really pleased with how this turned out! So pleased I've been wearing it since monday and it still looks so perfect! No chips, tip wear or whatsoever. Big thumbs up for Hits, not only they make beautiful polishes but they also have quality. I'm now a big fan of them!

Hits Cutie Pie

When Hits released the Marimoon collection I went crazy! I knew I had to get my hands on some colours of that collection, but they aren't sold here and shipping from Hits online store was way too expensive...So I complained about it to my brazilian friend, in the hopes that she would say "Don't worry, I can send some to you!", but instead she said "Don't worry, make a list of all you want and I'll go visit you in april and bring you all you want from here!". I was so happy when she told me that! My best friend was coming to visit me and bringing me nail polish, what more could I ask for? So I made a list with some nail polishes I wanted from the Hits website, 12 in total. She got here on monday and this is what I got:

16 brand new nail polishes! She bought me some Up Colors too! She's an amazing friend! *-*

Ok, moving on to the subject of this post.
The first one I tried was Cutie Pie, from the Marimoon collection. I love multichromes and I couldn't wait to put it on my nails.

The nail polish applied like butter, I only used 1 coat over black, the brush on these is amazing, it's one of those flat brushes that make things so much easier, and it dried really fast! It was almost completely dry when I applied Seche Vite.

Here's some photos of it, this time all under natural light as I couldn't capture all the colours in my usual light settings.

I think I'll be taking all my photos under natural light from now on, they came out so smooth and beautiful.
