[ABC Nails] A-England Saint George

Helloooooo! Is there still someone there? Hope so...
I know, I know...I've been M.I.A, but ever since I finished university, almost a year ago, things have been a bit weird for me, lots of ups and downs and being unemployed sucks and is messing with my spirits. Fortunately, I have some really good friends that are always pushing me to do better and trying to get me back into one of the things I love the most, and one of the few that I'm (kinda) good at. Of course I mean nails, what else could it be? xD

Anyway, Maggie, Rosana and I, decided to do the ABC Nails challenge together. They already started a couple of weeks ago, and since I'm playing catch up here, I will be doing A today, B on saturday and C on monday. After that, this will be done on mondays, every other week. I still don't know if I'll be posting other stuff in between, all I can say is that I will TRY! So bare with me, please.

Now onto the nails of today. For A, I chose one of my favourite polishes of all time (way to start big xD), Saint George by A-England. Here, I paired it up with a lovely polish by Crazy Polish Lady (already reviewed here), Another Mojito, Please!.

Oláááááá! Ainda está alguém deste lado? Espero que sim...
Eu sei, eu sei...andei desaparecida em combate, mas desde que acabei a universidade, há quase um ano atrás, as coisas têm andado meias estranhas para mim, com muitos altos e baixos, e estar desempregada é péssimo e anda a mexer com o meu estado de espírito. Felizmente, tenho óptimas amigas que estão sempre a puxar por mim e a tentar fazer com que volte a uma das coisas que eu mais gosto, e das poucas a que sou (relativamente) boa. Óbvio que estou a falar de unhas, o que mais poderia ser? xD

De qualquer maneira, a Maggie, a Rosana e eu, decidimos fazer o desafio das Unhas ABC. Elas já começaram há umas semanas atrás e eu estou a tentar apanhá-las de momento, por isso , hoje temos a letra A, o B no sábado e o C na segunda feira. Depois disto, este desafio será postado às segundas feiras, em semanas alternadas. Não sei se vou postar muito mais coisas fora do desafio, mas o que vos posso dizer é que vou TENTAR!

Mas falemos das unhas de hoje. Para a letra A, eu escolhi um dos meus vernizes favoritos de todos os tempos (isto é que é começar em grande xD), o Saint George da marca A-England. Aqui, emparelhei-o com um verniz adorável da Crazy Polish Lady, o Another Mojito, Please!, do qual já foi feita review aqui.

Saint George is surely a one coater, and is great for stamping, as you can see from the photos. Still, out of pure habit, I used 2 coats of it. It has an awesome formula too, really easy to work with and clean up, and it won't flood your cuticles.

I used 3 coats of Another Mojito, Please!, and after it was dry, I stamped over it using Gals GA34.

O Saint George é opaco o suficiente para ser usado em apenas uma camada, e é excelente para carimbar. como se podem ver nas fotos. Ainda assim, e por puro hábito, eu apliquei 2 camadas. A sua fórmula é óptima, muito fácil de aplicar e limpar e não escorre para as cutículas.

Usei 3 camadas do Another Mojito, Please!, e depois de seco, carimbei por cima dele usando a plaquinha GA34 da Gals.

Crazy Polish Lady Swatches

Today, I finally bring you swatches of the Crazy Polish Lady indies. I've bought a few a while ago, and worn them all already, but didn't take decent photos of them at the time. So here they are, right after the jump break!

Hoje, finalmente, vos trago swatches dos indies da Crazy Polish Lady, que comprei. Já os tenho há algum tempo, e já os usei a todos, mas não lhes tirei fotos decentes na altura. Aqui ficam eles, então:

Cosmic Love, finally a portuguese indie!

Hello, hello!
Long time no see. No excuses this time, just pure laziness...every day, I've said to myself  "I'm going to post tonight", but then I end up doing a million other things, and then it's already too late. Oops...

Tonight, I have a very special indie polish to show. It's the very first portuguese indie (and only one so far, but more will come) that I bought!
The brand is Crazy Polish Lady, and it's maker, Sofia, is one of the first people I remember talking to, when I first started sharing my photos online. She only has 1 collection out yet (all jellies with holographic micro glitter), it was inspired by her favourite songs, and this one is Cosmic Love (song by Florence And The Machine).

Bons olhos me vejam, não é assim? :P Sem desculpas destas vez, apenas pura preguiça...todos os dias dizia para mim mesma "É hoje que vou postar lá no blog", mas depois acabava por fazer outras mil e uma coisas, e quando dava por mim, já estava demasiado tarde. Oops...

Esta noite, venho-vos mostrar um indie muito especial. É o primeiro indie português que comprei (e ainda o único por enquanto, mas mais virão).
A marca é Crazy Polish Lady, e a sua criadora, a Sofia, é uma das primeiras pessoas com quem me lembro de falar, quando comecei a publicar fotos pelos grupos do Facebook. Até ao momento, ela só lançou uma colecção (todos com acabamento jelly e com micro glitter holográfico), e esta foi inspirada nas suas músicas favoritas. O que vos mostro hoje é o Cosmic Love (música de Florence And The Machine).

 

Like I said before, this is a jelly, packed with holographic micro glitter, giving it a scattered holo look. Formula was excellent, very easy to apply and manage, and even though it's a dark shade of blue, it didn't stain my nails or cuticles. I used 3 coats of it, but it was perfectly covered with only 2, I just wanted to add more dept to it.
The brush that comes with the bottle is pure love! I'm a sucker for flat brushes, what can I do? xD
Photos don't do the nail polish any justice, I had a really hard time capturing that holo shine, but it is really beautiful in person.

Como já disse antes, este verniz tem um acabamento jelly e está recheadinho de micro glitter holográfico.
A fórmula é excelente. Muito fácil de aplicar e manusear, e apesar de ser um verniz azul escuro, não me manchou as unhas nem as cutículas. Usei 3 camadas, mas cobria, perfeitamente, só com 2, eu é que lhe quis adicionar um pouquinho mais de profundidade. 

O pincel que o frasquinho traz, é puro amor! Não resisto a pincéis achatados, que posso eu fazer? xD
As fotos não fazem qualquer justiça ao verniz, tive muita dificuldade em captar todos aqueles brilhos holográficos, mas ele é realmente lindo em pessoa. 

While I was wearing it, I kept thinking it looked just like Picture Polish Cosmos, but no dice...Cosmos has a lot more going on there, with all the micro flakies, and is a tad bit lighter, even though you can't really see it here.

Enquanto o usei, pareceu-me sempre, que seria parecido ao Picture Polish Cosmos, mas não...O Cosmos tem muitas mais coisas para lá enfiadas (como mini flocos), para além do micro glitter, e é um todo nada mais claro que o Cosmic Love, apesar de isto não ser perceptível na foto.
