31 Days Challenge #9 - Rainbow

This one was easy, I knew exactly what I wanted to do!

I started with 2 coats of Purple Professional #32, then, on my accent nail, I placed some striping tape and then painted each remaining space with the rainbow colours. For this I used Kiko 334 (2 stripes), Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Good to Grape, O.P.I Fly, Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Limewire, Sally Hansen  Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow, Basic #291 and Andreia #40 (2 stripes).

Some stripes don't look perfect, but I'm happy with this, I think it looks cute! xD

31 Day Challenge #3 - Yellow

Oh boy....I'm so late with this one!
I painted my nails 3 times yesterday, just so I could breathe for a few days and not have to do it every day, but then I went out mid afternoon and only came back at 4am. How was I supposed to put a post up at that time? xD

I hate painting my nails yellow, just because yellow is such a hard colour. It's always streaky and hard to apply...Even if I like the final result, it's always a colour that I tend to stay away from. This one wasn't any easier...

I used 3 coats of Basic #461 and the the leaves and flowers are temporary tattoos I had here at the house, from when I was little.

Need to start playing more with temporary tattoos!

Playing with some striping tape

Some days ago I found some cheap striping tape and I couldn't wait to try it out. I always see some really cool manicures using it and this time I fell in love with this one, so I recreated using different colours.

For this I used Kiko #387 Turquoise and Basic #281. Can't really say much about Basic's formula, as I only used it for those bits, but the Kiko's was absolutely amazing! I was really surprised, the only other Kiko I used before was a bit on the tick and gloopy side, but this one was just perfect! Perfect consistency, perfect coverage in 2 coats, the brush is really good and makes application so much easier and the colour is just fantastic!
